Welcome
About Me:
Hi, welcome to my website, my name is Gabriela Villalobos Pronouns she/her/hers. I am a bilingual (Spanish/English) psychotherapist. I graduated from the University of San Francisco with a masters in clinical psychology. My specific license is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.
Are you struggling through a tough transition of loss and change? Feeling lost, lonely, scared, confused, helpless and hopeless through this transition. I am here to help. I believe we can derive powerful meaning, wisdom and growth from these experiences. In the initial stages the journey may feel agonizing and just wanting for it all to go away and have an easy fix. Through my various years of experience I like to use a collaborative, supportive and client centered approach to support my patients gain skills to foster more resilience, meaning, growth and fulfillment in their journey through adversity. I will provide you a safe space to voice yourself, explore your needs and a listening ear to fully understand your experience.
If you are also struggling with the impact of a recent traumatic event or have years of trauma that make you feel like your life is looping in pain and dysfunction and greatly impacting your relationship with your self and others. I am here to help. My clinical lens is holistic, compassionate and has a trauma lens . This meaning I try to understand a patient’s perception of life and assess how trauma has impacted their perspective on life and how they engage in relationships. Then I support patients through a healing process using IFS (Internal Family System Therapy), to help patients engage in a process of self-discovery and fulfillment. My therapeutic work is also somatic meaning I like to use the body as a source of information to help patients better attune to themselves and understand how stress and trauma impacts the body. Lastly I also like to incorporate concepts from neuroscience that can assist me with teaching my patients how trauma impacts the brain while also teaching them skills that can promote healing within the body and brain.
I offer therapy for all. I have experience working with the Latinx community but also welcome other BIPOC and Non-BIPOC patients. I also offer a safe space for LBGTQ patients. Hablo Espanol.
I like to make a safe space for woman to explore themselves outside the lens of traditional patriarchal structures. To allow woman to be in touch with their desires aligned with their authentic selves and explore their sexuality in healthy and safe ways.
Are you interested in the world of non-monogamy, or feeling lost through your journey of exploration. I also offer a space for patients to explore non-monogamy and see if this is a right for them. If so I can journey with you through this non-dominant relational structure to create deep fulfillment.
